Water Hardness, Heavy Metals, and Radioactive Isotopes - They All Can Be Removed!

With some water treatment dealers suggesting a softener for a host of different problems and running into a few installs where a softener really wasn't needed, I want to explain what a water softener really can do. First off, the spelling for "water softener" it is not, "water softner", just want to get that out of the way, and second, the process is actually called, "cation exchange" where removing water hardness, which is calcium and magnesium, is only a couple of the many elements on the periodic table that it can exchange for sodium or potassium depending on the salt...
