Report: Yankees agree to deal with Youkilis

According to FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, the Yankees have agreed to a one-year, $12 million deal with Kevin Youkilis. The deal is pending a physical.

The former Red Sox infielder had drawn interest from the Indians before Cleveland signed free agent cornerman Mark Reynolds to a one-year, $6 million deal. Youkilis is expected to serve as the Yankees' starting third baseman in the absence of Alex Rodriguez, who is slated to miss significant time after undergoing hip surgery.
